Why the signings on Delph and Sterling is important
As we saw yesterday, Nasri was probably City's best player in the friendly game. He looked a lot sharper and took his goal brilliantly well.
Yes, it was a friendly, but with Delph and Sterling already signed, it only means one thing...Nasri must improve and be at the top of his game to get a starting place and the competition for places can only be a good thing. Who know's, TLMLF may even pull his pis3er out!

Not only will it make the old guard pull up their socks (which is what we should have done each time we won the league), but it will also give us young England players especially if there is a push for more HG in the future. We'll have 3 current England internationals with at least 5-7 years at the top level to grow with the squad. I really want that good mix between die hard HG players that will run through brick walls for you and those foreign talents that are out of this world.

I hope that Fernandinho is given a more defined role - he's streets ahead of Fernando and personally I think he's got more natural talent than Delph. Having said that - Delph was value for money and hopefully will prove that he was.

Fernandinho may be in a position whereby, after a poor season, and our new signings, he has to take his game to the next level...a la Nasri.
I have to admit ( )....Dawg called it last summer after the WC and said the fact that Brazil were so poor, it may affect him last season. I said it wouldn't, but guess it did.

Think most players suffered a dip in form after the WC. Fernandinho just needs a bit more time - we know how he can play - and score

I know, I know.....but, as angry or vociferous as I get, I'll always admit when I'm wrong.

Was Fernandinho really that bad last season? He wasn't as good as in previous seasons when we won the league but i really don't believe he was that bad. I just never rated Fernando at all from day 1 and wish we would get rid as soon as.

He wasn't great tbf. He started off very poorly, but had one or two decent games towards the end of the season.
He was a shadow of the player he was the year before.

I thought Fernando was going to be the business but he was crap once he got injured. He said he was rushed back, not fully fit etc. so only time will tell.
