Which of the top 6 have City beaten this season?
25 games gone and we've played everyone once and several teams twice. How many games have we won against the other teams in the top 6?
A big fat fucking zero.
Last season we gave away 6 2-0 leads during the season.
Something isn't right. Not at all. We have a very soft underbelly and everyone knows about it.

It's not rocket science. I could have told you Leicester would press us into giving the ball away cheaply. They would look to hit us in the break. They would look for Vardy to waltz past our slowcoach CBs. They'd look for the shirkers in our team for the hard tackle. They'd soak up pressure knowing we wouldn't be putting in high crosses but be fizzing them along the ground.blueboy wrote:No fight...poor tactics...poor management.
If I know that, and I truly am a tactical neanderthal, then why can't our coaching team?

Re: Which of the top 6 have City beaten this season?
Nah, we only just managed to beat them, with a goal right at the death.
But joking aside, everyone knows we're not right in defence and haven't been since Mancini left. Pellers brought us this lovely attacking brand of football, but basically left Vinny in charge of defensive duties. Yes, in 2013/14 we had conceded the fewest goals of any PL club, but that was mainly because our opponents were so shell-shocked at getting hammered early on, they forgot to have a go back. But let's not forget that, when we put six past Arsenal, they still scored three and this should've been a warning that our defence isn't all it could be.
We've not done well in investing in defence. We let Kolo go without replacing him. We let Lescott go and replaced him with an even older man in Demichelis. Since then, we spent a king's ransom on Mangala (who only works when Vinny does) and Otamendi, who seems to prefer the "boots first" style of defending. Mangala has little positional awareness, seems incapable of reading a game and doesn't even tackle with much conviction. Otamendi isn't much better, but his tackling style has far too much conviction in it.
I've got no idea what game Pellers, or even Tricksy or Burgervan are watching, but it's painfully clear that none of them have an eye on defence, nor have they any idea of what we actually need. Which is weird, considering they've all been here three or four years.
