Raheem Sterling poll
First topic message reminder :
There seems to be a difference of opinion about the young lad.
Some think he's bang average and others think he's doing really well.
So, let's settle this once and for all.
Let's rate him between 1 and 10 for how he's performing this season. Nothing to do with potential and how old he is, just how well he's doing this season.

Haha...how did I know you'd read that into it?
I re-read and thought....I wonder.
TBW, it wasn't meant for you - the idiots I'm dealing with today from a work perspective!

Question though.....just returned from Spain and the villa was glorious. It had a 'wood pellet' burner and it was brilliant. Anyone know anyone who's got one? I know loads of people with wood burners, but this one gave off incredible heat and no mess whatsoever.....sorry Dawg to invade your thread.

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
I never brought up Sterling's price tag.
And Sterling is also an attacking midfielder, unless you want to class a winger as a forward, in which case he's got a shit return of goals!!!
I'm sure he's played some games in the no 10 slot rather than out wide, so he should score more and set up more too!!! But isn;t that also a wingers job?

Also...anyone come across an electric BBQ starter (like an element in a kettle)?
Got me thinking....never seen them before. I usually start mine off with some lighter bricks, or the pizza oven with kindling - but it was a revelation and you lost all that smell that you get with lighter fluids.
Can you tell I got back at 01:00 and have had no sleep yet?

Wrong thread Dawg....
If that's the case - why has KDB only got 2 goals then?
Look, we'll never agree - so I think we've all made a case for both sides of the debate and most of you won. Happy to concede...now, back to this thread on Eggs, Tea, Boilers and BBQ starters....

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
I have a gas barbecue.. when I use charcoal at neighbours he has one of them lighter turrets.. a kind of big steel tankard you load a little paper in bottom and coal ontop so it gets a good burn on it from the off. then pour into the barbie once it's going.. cost between £5 and £20 to get one and no leccy needed or access to a plug.
on a computer forums I visit often at "work" we have a long thread dedicated to wood burning stoves. I haven't come across a pellet burner yet.
Stirling clearly divides opinion and the team as a whole have under performed at times this season.
Poached egg on toast now.. mmmmmmmmmmmm

Cheers Moon. Yeah, I've seen them. Never tried one though.
The pellet burning one's are superb. All you do is take a hoover nozzle and suck out the little bits of ash that's left. Not cheap mind....looking at them online, they're coming in at £1100....but I guess the pellets will be far cheaper than burning logs and we used half of the 3KG bag in 7 days - in the morning and evening...running for 6 hours each day. Don't have to get up and put more logs on - one scoop of pellets last a day....and the heat was incredible.

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
depends how you want to use your burner too.
I'm thinking about one when the kids are a few years older.. would only be on for cold evenings, and a candle display the rest of the year.. )
central heating on for the mornings, not faffing about getting up and starting a burner..

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
All I did was hoover it out in the morning - took 10 seconds, topped it up with a scoop of pellets and then pressed the remote control and within 3 minutes, flames were present and heat coming out. It had 5 different settings, from small flame (a pellet every now and then to keep it ticking over), to 5 which dropped a pellet every few minutes and the flames were roaring....not getting up and adding logs, all done via a tiny remote control.
I've had an old wood burner in the previous house....and it was messy and in the winter, it took quite a few logs to keep it going....but this pellet burner was an absolute doddle and was simple to load and clean.

My egg salad sandwich, courtesy of mayo, a little mustard and chopped onion - with crispy bacon on top is worth the price - on ciabatta bread of course.

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
I'm with Blue boy on this would give him an 8 for this season. Stats like that with any other player & there would be no argument. Yes he falls down a bit easy, but there are times when he shoved to the ground & doesn't get anything. Don't care if his finishing is not always great when his assists are generally top drawer. Seems like some people get an idea in there head about certain players & cant shake it even when they improve.

Correct strange blue couldn't agree more & for the record.
Poached with toast agree Fried with bacon sarnies, absolutely detest scrambled egg or omelettes something about the texture. Soft boiled in an egg cup struggle to get fried or poached in one
Any BBQ we had in England if I remember always ended up in the garage as the weather was always too cold raining or shit in general.

Electric grill starter - about $15.00 on Amazon. Wood pellet grill about $350 - $600.00 at most home improvement centers. Seen lots of them around. Kev and Spanish Dave use them too - I believe.

You're giving us BMRTV and Ian Wright as your fountains of knowledge???
I'll accept Martin Samuel as a far better judge, but please don't insult us with these wretched creatures.

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
I know I'm an old fart but can someone tell me why pep insists on playing him on then left wing.
He is right footed and uses his left foot to stand on, so on the left he will never get to the dead ball line and put in cross all he will ever do is cut back inside and guess what every rightback in the country knows that
So I blame pep for playing him out of position. When he plays behind the striker is when he plays his best. So for that reason I'll give him 7

Wretched creatures? That's a bit harsh about a brilliant ex-striker and a group of Man City fans who go to most games and talk to fans.

Maybe a bit OTT as I like Wrighty's passion, but those BMRTV blokes don't really know that much.

Wood pellet grill? Is that the same as a free standing wood pellet burner Wensdi?

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
Sorry blue just like to clarify my point on Fernandinho's red cards. I agree he got what he deserved for the incident with Fabregas, but in my opinion had the referee dealt with Luiz in the correct manner in the first place that incident at the end would never had occurred that was my point so no red card.

Re: Raheem Sterling poll
Absolutely agree with you Oz.....the red cards were borne out of frustration over the Luiz incident, but still, they should have been more professional.

I agree with bluey there he should be more professional. If we win our next two games, will he get back in the team?
