Everton v City Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So, after Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all put in some excellent, goal scoring performances yesterday, we have no option but to ensure we win this game...an also hope for a dull 0-0 later.
Pep has so many options today, with the exception of Fernandinho and Gabriel, as he's known to prefer....
The team have had a full week to rest and train, though it seems some have only just started training recently, Fernando (injury) and KDB (illness).
We need to start quickly, get an early goal and settle into a passing rhythm, but it seems we keep saying that week in week out, and it's only when the second half comes around, do we seem to step it up a gear.
One player who seems to have nailed down a starting place, is TLMLF:

I'll ask this question: can he only manage when he's got the players he wants?

Oi 'kun' some player I have never heard of has just shown you how to finish.
And who wants to argue that Sterling isn't a waste of money now?
Wankers all of them

What, he has????
Or it's simple...we've got players like the lazy wanker who only ever bothers against shit teams, an old, over the hill defence and MF, with no energy? I'll give you one thing against Pep though, that fucking cock-womble in goal......he's the biggest CU^T i've ever seen in goal. What a twat!

Conte came in without any fanfare and has pretty much the same players as the previous year. And he's lost a couple to China and got problems with Costa. But he keeps on winning.

On that pitch now are probably 6 players I would keep, that is how far away we are. Stones is the only one from defence the rest can fuck off.

Pep......for once, I'm gonna say this.
THAT WAS FUCKING EMBARRASSING.
I'm with you...but unless you start to sort this shower of 'old' shite out in the summer.....I'll quickly lose my support.
We want to see some energy, fight and passion for the shirt....Bravo, TLMLF....they can fuck off. Get rid of the deadwood and give the kids a chance.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
why give him/them until the summer? the ones who aren't going to be kept shouldn't even get into the match day squad. give some kids a go as this season is over.
look towards next season. finishing 6th or 10th makes no difference now.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
Well I have sat through the game and trawled through all the wonderful pieces of literature posted here & I am in full agreement that was as bad as I can remember. How can we be so lightweight in attack & defense. Clichy is just way past it, Stones needs to really toughen up him & sterling were getting knocked Off the ball time & time again ok Lukaku is a beast, but that young kid davies come on??? Barkley absolutely bullied our midfield along with Gareth Barry. Yes they were niggly little fouls in there but we have to show a darn site more passion & aggression.
I wish the city faithful would stop singing that awful we got Guardiola song it is so cringeworthy ( Say that you need me all of the time!!!! WTF is that all about? so glad your mine???) come on for Christ sake think of something a bit better than that.
Guardiola really needs to start earning his stripes & if that means dropping that dick of a keeper to begin with then so be it. He needs to get the team to get stuck in a bit ok with tippy tappy but we do not have the natural ability to keep it up for 90 minutes . Time & time again 1 stray pass & it is in the back of our net in a flash.
Everton 5 shots on target 4 goals we had 9 on target & stuff all to show for it. Kinda says it all really. What a depressing week this is gonna be & only have spuds to look forward to next week. On that showing we are in for a pasting.

Pep is bemoaning his luck saying Everton only had 1 shot on target in the 1st half and scored.
Nothing to do with bad luck If he didn't have that fuckwit in goal they wouldn't have scored any of the first 3 goals...didn't see the last one so can't comment.

I miss Maine Road, I miss honest players, I miss local players, I miss Manchester City.
Forget corporate image, forget international superstars, shove champions league and the world's best manager up your arse. If today is a billion pounds worth of improvement on Horlock, Doyle and Benarbia then I am not interested in 'improvement '.
If any of the wankers on that pitch/bench today post on Facebook, Twatter or any other 'social media' site that they are hurting as much as the fans after that performance and they are CTID then they can go fuck themselves.

No apologies necessary TBW - I have said the same to the TV screen today. I only asked for the C word not to be used - and it still is being used - either with or without the @# in the context.
Pep needs to get his tactics right - teams have figured us out - Leicester of all people and today was a shambles. Considering we had 71% possession which means diddly when you concede 4 goals - then the fault lies with the coach/tactician in my book.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
Our flaws are so obvious - Pep of all people can see them. Everton had 4 shorts on goal and scored all 4. Aguero doesn't get a sniff in his role. Thank God Pool and Utd only got a point. However, dreading Spuds game next week - the form they are in - we have no chance.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
Forget Pool Spuds Chavs etc. The title has gone (can you imagine the abuse MP would have received if he were manager and we were out of the race mid January!) and as I said a few weeks ago we won't even get top 4.
After the second goal Pep looked broken. This ain't going to end well.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
I watched Spurs yesterday....and they were the most impressive team I've seen all season. We'll get bloody battered next week if we don't sort this shite out.
OUT:
Bravo
Clichy
TLMLF
Zaba
Just to start with.
I watched the likes of Alli, Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Erisken and Kane absolutely run their socks off....we didn;t have 1 single player today who had any fight, energy or passion for the game.
Add to that, the clown of a keeper we currently have.
If Yoyo, Garcia, Maffeo, Diaz and the likes are overlooked for overpaid, has-been's, then we're fucked until Pep sells the dross and buys 7/8 players in the summer.
My one BIG concern, is that we had all summer and currently, this window to reinforce the areas that need changes....and as a club, we've done cock all about it.
Shameful today....it's that simple.
I'm still behind the manager, but the players are the one's to blame, because no-one can sit here and tell me, with that team, we'd have been beaten, never mind 4-0.
