Everton v City Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So, after Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all put in some excellent, goal scoring performances yesterday, we have no option but to ensure we win this game...an also hope for a dull 0-0 later.
Pep has so many options today, with the exception of Fernandinho and Gabriel, as he's known to prefer....
The team have had a full week to rest and train, though it seems some have only just started training recently, Fernando (injury) and KDB (illness).
We need to start quickly, get an early goal and settle into a passing rhythm, but it seems we keep saying that week in week out, and it's only when the second half comes around, do we seem to step it up a gear.
One player who seems to have nailed down a starting place, is TLMLF:

mainly clichy's fault for the pass. I need to see it again before I blame others.

The Arsene Wenger of the Bluemoon Forum.....happy to criticise, but then decides he didn't see it!

We will score today just hope we keep out any more. A draw is no good though today, we are out the title chase if we drop points today

We started well enough, but we all could see they'd get a good chance or two. I was hoping that would be after we scored 2 or 3 rather than before we scored.

Niall Quinn.....his commentary makes me want to pull my teeth out with a rusty fork! He's just looked at the Robles challenge, and even though there was ABSOLUTELY no contact with his head, he said AFTER watching the reply "clearly must have been a knock by his own player"
What an absolute cock he is....you'd think he never played for City with his anti-City commentary.

We've made them run their bollocks off that half....keep up that tempo and chances will come.
Still think we're missing a Fernandinho in there or add another attacking player out wide....ie Sane for Zaba and get Silva closer to TLMLF...as KDB is playing too deep, even though he's had a good game so far.

So, immediately, Souness agrees with me.....TLMLF switched off in his defensive role.

Ref mistakes costing us again. Would have been nice if Sergio had scored after fouling the defender.

But the pass was intercepted just inside our half....45 yards from goal. As Souness said, Davies had several touches before he played the pass in behind TLMLF......yes, it was a poor pass, but once again, it's not a pass that should have put us in ANY danger, if others are doing what they should be doing.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
We're blaming a goal on 1 wayward pass.....how far back do we all want to go when we concede a goal? Wayward passes will always happen, but not EVERY wayward pass should lead to a goal if others are doing their job....otherwise, we'd score as well....
But hey, 2-0 now!

So..shall we blame TLMLF for giving the ball away cheaply near the centre circle???

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
As for Bravo.....not sure whether he was at fault for any of the goals, but one thing is for sure, he rarely, if EVER, make saves down low, either side of him, which suggests his starting position is poor.

Get Zaba off now and get Sane on.....1 point needs to be salvaged here - 3 if we snap out of this lethargy in our MF.

That's it, they can all fuck right off now.
Not interested anymore, they can't give a fuck so neither can I.

despite the fact we should have had a penalty, we've been very poor.
