City v Spurs - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
Not long now. What will the starting line-up be?
Saw a video of Gabriel in training yesterday....didn't look like he gave much thought on settling in! He aggressively won the ball back off Kelechi, who looked a little shocked with the arm into his neck! Don't think this kid gives a shit for reputations....or the pressure. Get him started!
Will he, won't he? It'd be a kick up the arse for others if he starts.
Will Vinny start? He;s been back for a few weeks now, but not selected. Has Pep kept him just for this game?
Will we play a 4 or 3 at the back? 3 for me, would give us more bodies in the MF to be more aggressive like we were earlier on in the season.
Will Bravo keep his place or will Pep give him one more chance???
So many if's and but's in this game. A good performance is needed, result wise, a draw wouldn't be a bad result after what happened last weekend. A win, would silence some critics. A loss, leaves us with more work to do to catch the top 4 if the rags win.
Massive game for us today....and we can't surely, be as bad as we were last week?

Chances, chances, chances....
We've battered the so-called darlings of the media, but it'll mean nothing if we don't take one of these chances!

Wow...how we are not 4-0 I've no idea.
Guess Pep has done something right? The players need to take responsibility for this, as they are the one's not taking their chances. Pep's got the tactics and selection spot on.
Out of interest, any thoughts on how Bravo has done so far?

Seriously though, TLMLF needs to start picking up runners and not marking space and he also needs to get those passes moving quicker and forward, not backwards and sideways.
Great first half performance, if you discount how we can't finish our chances.
Gabriel anyone???

Hence my point earlier BB. If we defend well from attack, through the MF and our defence do their job, Bravo should never be faced with 4 one-on-ones.....
Yes, he's still not the best keeper, but if you look at Lloris as an example, he;s made one good save and misplaced 4 or 5 simple passes, after putting their defence under pressure....and he;s supposed to be one of the best keepers in the world!

It's been a decent first half, we've had them on the ropes a lot, but we need to be way, way more clinical than this. But a good effort all round. Let's kick on and get that goal we've earned.

Thought of a song, if he comes on.......will it take on?
"Oh thou hear, the angels sing
We got Gabriel
United got, a big nosed swede
But we got God's Angel"
