Maureen got it spot on at Anfield!
Interesting to watch Sunday Supp this morning.
Neil Custis, Northern football correspondent for The Sun and clearly a rag though Maureen got the tactics spot on. He said that no team goes to Anfield and 'has a go' that teams always go there and play with caution and that the rags did not 'park the bus at all.
Martin Samuel went with the popular consensus that Maureen parked the bus, showed no ambition to win the game and pointed out that Loserpool were there for the taking with a couple of key players missing and a poor defensive record but Maureen had no bottle.
Fantastic, incredible, brilliant were just some of the superlatives rightly used to describe City's awesome display yesterday.
Lets hope we can replicate something similar against a high flying Napoli side.
One or 2 texts at the bottom of the screen this morning on Sunday Supp were spouting the usual bitter rhetoric, "they were being lauded at the same time last season then the wheels fell off" and "Its one thing doing it against PL teams, thats not unusual, the acid test will be when that do it against a top European team like Napoli". Some bitter fans cannot simply applaud a team that is playing entertaining sensational football.

Yeah, saw it this morning. He's not a United fan, but he is a massive Maureen fan.
Glad to see Martin Samuel on the panel, basically disagreeing with both of them when it came to United's approach to the game. proper journo.

And Danny Murphy on MOTD saying that Jesus at 20 years of age, is right up there with Messi.....can't agree with that whatsoever, but he's definitely frightening for a kid of his age.

He said he's the best, at his age, since Messi

Still can't agree with that either...
He's good, but he's no Messi when he was younger.

Or Ronaldo to come to think of that.....or the proper Ronaldo.
He's got a long way to go to get anywhere near those players IMO.

He didn't say he was as good as Messi. He said, for his age, he was the best since Messi. The original Ronaldo was before Messi's time

hence my point....he's good, but he's not as good as either of the Ronaldo's or Messi at 20.

Listened to that nob arselicker custis on sunday supplement. what a cock. Samuel got it right. We won't know if it's a good point until later in the season. But it looks like City won't be dropping too many the way we're playing.
I'd be more than happy if Jose applied the same tactics against Chelsea and Spurs too.

Bang on, even the scum park the bus and get a lucky win against us would be totally irrelevant.
Saturday proved how much we are different from last year though. Even they were fluky deflections for both goals we didn't even break stride and just stepped up a gear.

lets see if Chelsea use the same tactics they did against us. If so it will be one hell of a bore fest with 2 teams defending. Mourinho only knows one way negative. The beauty with us is it appears we have worked out how to get in behind ultra defensive teams whereas last season we couldn't seem to unlock stubborn teams. That may just backfire on the moany one should he try those tactics with us.

Listening to talkshite this morning with Jim White and Danny Murphy with the odious Mills. They were all lauding City and saying they could not see any PL team stopping us if we maintain this form
Some cockney calls in and reckons the wheels will fall off again like last year, the Brazilians will lose interest when the cold icy rain is cutting through them.

Yeah....replied back on Twitter to some idiots who were replying to Darren Gough, who was laughing at the fact they were making excuses like..."it's about the money"...."let Pep manage WBA"....."wait til the winter"....pretty pathetic.

So nothing being looked at by the FA for Lukaku's back heel into the face of Lovren then??

Nah, I would have banned Lovren for 6 games for the rolling about. I watched it in slow motion on sky and it was nothing. Lukaku found wanting again against a top team though, who would have thought. bargain though at 75m.

they posted the states of him against all the top clubs, but they would be swayed in that he always scored against us for Everton...
