Trott leaves Ashes tour
Stress related illness.
Also, fining Clarke just 20% of his match fee for the disgraceful comment at Anderson is laughable.
I'm all for a bit of banter, but when it goes too far they should really punish the offender. A match ban would have been more appropriate.

"long-standing Stress related condition"
"Jonathan's been struggling with this condition for quite a while"
"I don't think it is right that I'm playing knowing that I'm not 100%"
Wtf is going on. If that was the case, what the fuck was he doing (1) over there in the first place, and (2) in the starting 11.
The 1st test defeat can't be put down to him, as the rest of the batsmen were shite too, but serious questions have to be answered imo as to why he was playing out there to start with.
As regards Clarke, i'm pretty sure England give as much as they take, banter/sledging, or whatever you want to call it, is part and parcel of an Ashes series. Anderson won't be bothered by what Clarke said at all, he gives it out as much as anyone. It'll be interesting to see Jimmys reaction if he gets him out in the next test though.

Re: Trott leaves Ashes tour
Apparently Trott has had it under control for a while....obviously not for the past 5 days.
As for what Clarke said....I agree, i'm sure worse than that gets dished out.....it was just the fact that the stump-mike picked it up.
If Anderson isn't up for the next test, then what's the point?

It's part of parcel of the game though, they even write books on the best "sledging" in cricket. It made me chuckle, it's all taken too seriously.
England left themselves wide open for all this for the Broad none walk in the summer.
Anyway, cricket is possibly the worst sport for me, it's almost as boring as crown green bowling.

Not really dissing it, personally I find it really dull. Others say the same about golf which I love so horses for courses really.

Only jokin blisterin, i find it borin at times too.
I've bowled on and off since i was a nipper and started bowling fully again (after a long long absence) 2 seasons ago in the Prestwich bowling league on a Weds night....i play in a team from Radcliffe.
Gives me something to do if i'm not golfin or watchin footy......n it's a damn sight cheaper too

I play bowls too,but not crown green. I bowl on grass in the summer and indoor during the winter. There are a lot of guys playing now between pre-teens to 50's mainly and the old man 's game tag is no longer true it's very competitive. most of the top players are aged between 30 and 50 i would say and a lot of bowlers i know play golf too!!
