Luke Shaw - I don't get this

Luke Shaw is going to the WC this summer and may possibly play in front of millions around the world.

He then, is going to come back to England, sign for United and not play in the CL with them, whilst others around him will be.

We should be all over this unless we have tried and he said no.

I wonder if the press will slaughter him for being a mercenary for going to a club with no European football next season? It can only be for financial reasons surely! Or is that just players that signed for us?
 

Maybe Pellers is happy with rotating the 2 we've got...who knows?

Luke Shaw could have a tough season if united are trying to bed in two new CBs or if they stick with Jones and Evans. Shaw should have gone to an U21 tournament and played rather than sit on the bench in Brazil.

Tbh Dawg, i'd still play him at RB instead of that clown Johnson.....i know he won't though   

if he flops at united it is his fault I hope united stay within the realms of mid table & if that means shaw & other expensive signings sinking with them so be it.

Shaw's being a bit of a muppet here. Clearly the rags are looking at spending more money than Chelsea, seeing as they're out of Europe and can afford to spend a shiteload, knowing next season FFP will ignore them. So he's clearly going for the money. Either that or his agent is sending him there for a sizeable commission.

Either way, it'll be a big mistake.

massive mistake. his stick is massive now, but if United are anywhere as shhit as they have been...his stock will drop. he could easily come to us, for the same price, more wages and play in the CL....having all the exposure he needs at the top level....this is weird if he does go to United.

He's guaranteed a starting spot with Utd. Chelsea have Azpul, we have both Clichy and Kolarov so maybe he's going where he knows he can play. They've probably told him that they'll be back in the CL next year...

I'd play Shaw over both Clichy and Kolorov.....

Me too bluey but maybe he's worried about those internationals whereas Utd will have no-one at LB when Evra leaves.

I don't think we would be entertaining buying shaw if we intend to keep both clichy & kolarov, so I don't think playing time would be an issue.
