that bloody left back spot

Forgive me if I'm wrong but most teams have started to follow the continental fashion of playing left and right wingers on their opposite foot. We do it as wellas do Chelsea and a few others and its gaining popularity with managers if not with players (like Milner).
So with, Ned back with a full season under his belt and the pace that he has what would be wrong in trying him out in this position if he's coming up against right footed players?

i think RM is pissed with Ned but it is worth giving it a go.
